Hello guys, this time i will talk about one of the very insteresting series, namely WandaVision. Before we start, i want to let you know that this text contains spoilers.
What is WandaVision?
In case you’ve been living under a rock for a few years, this is Marvel Studios’ first Disney+ TV show, taking characters from their blockbuster comic-book movies and placing them in serialised adventures on the small-screen. Specifically, Wanda “Scarlett Witch” Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and her android boyfriend Vision (Paul Bettany), who both debuted in Avengers: Age of Ultron and were last seen in Avengers: Endgame. (Spoiler: Vision sacrificed himself to protect the Mind Stone from villainous Thanos.)
My First Impression
As a series that opened MCU Phase 4 it was really cool, I don't understand anymore. I didn't stop trying to recommend this series to people even though those people didn't really follow Marvel.
Before going further, I would like to remind you that you don't actually have to follow the MCU from phase 1, because wanda maximoff has started to appear in the movie "Avengers: Age Of Ultron". So you don't need to watch the first film from Marvel because it will take a very long time.
In the first episode, we will see a show that inspired by Dick Van Dyke Show (1950). This episode tells of a couple who recently got married and moved to a sub-urban area. It's Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany). It didn't take long for the audience to find out that these two people had unique powers. Wanda can play "tricks", then Vision is an android that can penetrate solid objects. Beyond that, Wanda and Vision are ordinary couples who try to adjust to a new environment and try to find happiness. However, slowly things started happening.
In the second episode (inspired by Bewitched 1960s), Wanda and Vision team up to create a magic show for a donation event in their area. Predictably, there was a lot of chaos. Mainly because Vision accidentally swallowed gum and damaged the gear in his body. This caused Vision to feel like he was drunk and began to show his strength in the crowd such as flying, piercing solid objects, and lifting heavy objects. Wanda had to think fast so people could make sense of their thoughts.
The weirdness happened because during the episode something was trying to break into the world of Wanda and Vision. Starting from the radio suddenly shouting "Wanda, who did this" followed by the shattering of the glass in Dottie's hand, then the discovery of a toy helicopter with a sword (and colored!) Logo, and the release of people in uniforms like beekeepers from the sewer hole. There is a sword logo too. But Wanda, who looks pregnant, doesn't want that to happen and turns back the time.
In the third episode (inspired by The Brady Bunch 1970s) Wanda who was being examined by a gynecologist accompanied by Vision. However, they do not know what caused Wanda to become pregnant. This is because in the previous episode, Wanda's stomach suddenly enlarged, and also the fact that they both came from two different species, namely humans and androids.
Strange things often happen when Wanda experiences contractions, starting with a short circuit, causing electricity in the Westview area to go out. Wanda was afraid that her neighbors at Westview would realize that all these oddities had happened because of her. In fact, Vision has also begun to realize that there is something strange about a number of these strange events, such as having dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Heart. Vision also knows that there is something strange in the world he lives in.
After Wanda giving birth, Vision escorted the doctor out. Geraldine suddenly asks Wanda if her brother (Pietro) has been killed by Ultron, The question also suprised Wanda and glanced curiously at Geraldine. However, after that Geraldine didn't seem to remember her question about Pietro. Wanda was then curious about the symbol on the neklace worn by Geraldine and then asked who she really was. She slowly approached Geraldine with a look like someone who is angry. Then, she throws her out from the reality and when Vision come back, Geraldine was gone.
In the fourth episode (inspired by Family Ties 1980s) we will be shown how Monica Rambeau can be in the reality of wanda. This episode begins with Monica looking for her mother in the hospital and it is reported that her mother is missing due to the blip incident (snap thanos).
Jimmy Woo as an FBI agent (once featured in the film Antman) senses something isn't right on WestView, he identifies the area with help from the organization S.W.O.R.D (an organization formed by Maria "Photon" Rambeau, Monica's mother). The S.W.O.R.D organization called in Darcy Lewis to help observe Wanda's dome of reality called "HEX". We were also shown that S.W.O.R.D actually sent hundreds of drones into this reality to monitor Wanda's movements.
This dome of wanda reality is not easily penetrated by humans, objects and anything. If anyone tries to enter hex, it will adjust to the timeline that occurs in hex. For example, Monica Rambeau, who wore a bulletproof vest when she entered the hex, changed into a 60s era fashion shirt and also one of the S.W.O.R.D members who wore an astronaut outfit, changed into a bee-proof outfit. Another odd thing that happened was that the sitcom we watched for three episodes was a wave broadcast from within the hex that could only be shown on old school television. But the visuals that were displayed and what happened were different, as if someone was broadcasting the show.
Lets go to the fifth episode that inspired by Roseanne (1990s). We will be shown Wanda and Vision, who are seen taking care of their baby children named Tommy and Billy. Strangeness began to occur when her neighbor Agnes told Wanda to rewind time because Agnes was not ready to take care of Wanda's children. Vision was even more suspicious of Wanda and pretended not to know. Tommy and Billy began to accelerate their growth When Tommy and Billy have a dog named Sparky, Wanda and Vision don't allow them to take care of the animals, they must be 10 years old. Billy and Tommy started to accelerate their growth again until they were 10 years old. Vision began to be suspicious of Agnes, because he was always there when needed.
Vision went to his office to find out what was wrong. Suddenly, his office mates get a letter from S.W.O.R.D and one office laughs simultaneously which makes Vision try to restore Norm (Vision's office friend). When his memory was returned with the power of Vision's mind stone, Norm began to panic and reminded Vision to stop Wanda because previously all he felt was Wanda's suffering, Vision began to take Norm's memory back so that Wanda would not be suspicious.
Wanda sensed a danger and immediately went out of the house, the danger Wanda felt was the drone belonging to S.W.O.R.D (the drone could go into hex because the drone was in accordance with the timeline that happeInapirened in hex). Wandapun came out of the hex and returned the drone belonging to S.W.O.R.D so that the incident would not happen again, Wanda strengthened the hex dome. On the other hand, Tommy and Billy lose Sparky, who surprisingly finds Agnes dead in Agnes's yard. They were sad and asked their mother to bring them back to life, but Wanda refused.
A surprising thing happened in this episode, where Wanda was fighting with Vision. Someone knocked on the door, Vision thought it was Agnes who was controlled by Wanda. It turned out that the one who knocked on the door was Pietro Maximoff / QuickSilver, what surprised him was that the actor who played it was the QuickSilver actor too but in the X-Men film. There are many theories that say if Pietro was sent by Dr. Strange from the X-Men universe so that Wanda won't be sad again. And marvel fans consider this to be the beginning of the Multiverse, because this series has ties to the film Dr. Strange: In The Multiverse Of Madness and Spiderman: No Way Home.
